Trustee Anne Richmond
Personal Note
I moved to Hainesville in 2003 after falling in love with the open spaces and lakes of Lake County. Hainesville was the perfect mix of small town feel and country living to balance the time I had lived in Iowa and Chicago. I never imagined how much I would enjoy the native plants and wildlife that co-exist with the residents of Hainesville.
Service has always been a part of my life, from volunteering at my church in grade school to organizing the homecoming parade at the University of Iowa to serving on the Round Lake Library Board to helping run the Avon Community Food Pantry.
I chose a career in subsidized housing, working for over 20 years for a contractor of the Chicago Housing Authority and currently for the Housing Authority of Cook County. I conduct administrative hearings, monitor compliance and am the liaison for police departments and law enforcement agencies to ensure that the rental assistance we provide is helping the people who need it most.
When I’m not working, I enjoy crafts, reading and practicing my French and working on my Spanish.
