<span style="color: #000000;"><span style="color: #008000;">9:00 a.m. &#8211; 10:00 a.m. </span>Gather round with Village and Lake County Department of Transportation Officials and Staff as we celebrate the completion of the path. Ribbon cutting will be held on the path directly across from the Village Hall. Bike and skater helmets which are normally sold at the Village Hall for $8 and $10 will be available at this event for $5 and $8. Giveaways include Illinois Bicycle Rules of the Road Books, Sport Water Bottles and Refreshments. Hurry while supplies last!!</span></span></span></span></p>

Drive-thru route will be set up for easy drop off and traffic flow. <p>They will be picked up on Wednesday May 30th between 6:30 pm and 8:30 pm.</p>
<p>Teen MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers is a program designed for young mothers with children under school age who have a shared desire to be the best mothers they can be. This program provides a supportive and non-judgmental environment where teen moms can gain confidence, become more self-sufficient, and grow personally.</p>
<p>They are asking neighbors, as caring members of the community, to support these families by donating the following items:<br />
- Diapers &#8211; any size/brand<br />
- Pull-ups &#8211; any size/brand<br />
- Diaper Wipes &#8211; any size/brand</p>
<p>Connect, a youth group from New Hope Christian Community, will be collecting donations on Wednesday May 30th between 6:30 pm &#8211; 8:30 pm. To make a donation, please place the items that you wish to donate in the bag they will proved and place on your front step. <p>Hainesville has the distinction of being the oldest incorporated community within Lake County (1847). It continues its long tradition of commitment to the &#8220;Quality of Life&#8221; while still meeting the demands of a growing community.</p>
<h4>Recreation</h4>
<p>Avon Township Youth Baseball Organization is located within the Village. The various events held at this facility attracts numerous visitors to the community. The nearby Northbrook Sports Club attracts people from throughout the state for competitive marksmanship events. Hainesville residents can utilize the Grayslake Park District and the Round Lake Park District.</p>
<h4>Schools</h4>
<p><strong>(updated 4/22/10)</strong><br />
Grayslake Elementary School District #46, Round Lake Unit School District #116, and Grayslake High School District #127 all serve Hainesville. Students living in the western portion of the Village attend Round Lake schools. District #116 has an enrollment of 7,075 students. Students living in the eastern portion of Hainesville attend Grayslake grade schools and District #127 for high school. District #46 has an enrollment of 4,243 students and District #127 an enrollment of 2,708 students. There are several parochial schools in the Round Lake area and in Grayslake.</p>
<h4>Housing</h4>
<p>The developments of Union Square, Cranberry Lake North and Cranberry Lake are the newest additions to the Village. Within the past ten years, Misty Hill Farms and Deerpoint Trails have also been built. A growing number of small manufacturing firms and other small business enterprises support the Village&#8217;s tax base.</p>
<p>Population: 3,444 (from special census conducted in 2004)</p>
<h4>Government Services</h4>
<p>The Village is served by two Fire Protection Districts; Grayslake and Greater Round Lake. The Village also has an Enhanced 911 service. Police calls are serviced by the Grayslake/Hainesville Police Department.</p>
<h4>Transportation</h4>
<p>State routes 120 and 134 converge in Hainesville. The Village is served by Pace bus service to other local communities. Residents may utilize the Metra commuter rail services at nearby Grayslake and Round Lake stations.</p>
<p><strong>Distance to the Chicago Loop:</strong> 42 miles<br />
<strong>Distance to O&#8217;Hare Airport:</strong> 37 miles<br />
<strong>Distance to Mitchell Field:</strong> 50 miles</p>
