Hainesville Public Works Department

To provide our residents with Public Work Services that meet or exceed their expectations.

The Village of Hainesville’s Public Works Department handles many different functions that are necessary to operate the Village on a daily basis. This department was created in 2004 after it was deemed necessary to start handling certain tasks in house as opposed to outsourcing. The department currently staffs one full time and three seasonal part time employees.

The Village outsources the operation of our water and wastewater system as well as snowplowing. Major water, sewer and road projects are outsourced as needed to the lowest responsible bidder, that also must meet strict state required endorsements.

The Public Works Department is growing at a consistent pace and will be handling more small scale projects within the Village to help keep costs down and guarantee more timely service.

Stormwater Runoff

The Illinois Environmental Protection Agency (IEPA) General NPDES Permit No. ILR40 was re-issued (effective date April 1, 2009).  Maintaining a permit requires the Village to submit a Notice of Intent (NOI) and an Annual Facility Inspection Report (AFIR) to the IEPA.  To view these documents please click on each document’s title  NOI and AFIR.
